Hedgewitch horse oil.....

Our hedgewitch has come up with a sustainable alternative to pig oil and it’s made specifically to meet the needs of horses. We've added lavender essential oil to support the function and health of the skin and it also brings some anti-bacterial activity. Hedgewitch horse oil is 100% plant-based and can be used in exactly the same way as pig oil (white oil from petrochemicals), traditionally used on feathers and legs to waterproof them; help prevent ‘bog burn’ and mud fever; and to discourage mites. It can also be applied sparingly to the mane and tail to leave the hair silky and tangle-free, and to the coat for a glossy shine.

Hedgewitch horse oil has natural antioxidant and antibacterial properties to help support the health and resilience of your horse’s skin through the winter months.

Our horse oil is made from the oil found in coconuts, which are only sourced from sustainable plantations. The coconut oil is heated to separate out the long-chain fatty acids and produce a very light, food-grade oil - using no chemicals in the extraction process. The resulting non-greasy oil is easily absorbed by the skin and moisturises without blocking pores.

Exactly what's inside…

caprylic/capric triglycerides from coconut oil; Lavendula augustifolia essential oil

How to use

For manes & tails: mist in using a trigger spray for soft, tangle-free tails that will brush out easily for weeks.

For waterproofing: apply liberally to skin and feathers.

For glossing: apply sparingly where required.

Precautions
