horse oil with lemongrass and bay laurel 500ml

Hedgewitch horse oil is 100% plant-based with no artificial additives. It's easily absorbed by the skin and moisturises without blocking pores and the added essential oils have antibacterial and anti-fungal properties to help support the health and resilience of your horse’s skin through the winter months.

Contains lemongrass and bay laurel leaf essential oils which provide added antibacterial and antifungal action when muddy conditions make legs particularly vulnerable.

Horse oil can be used in exactly the same way as pig oil (white oil from petrochemicals), traditionally used on feathers and legs to waterproof and help guard against ‘bog burn’ and mud fever; and to discourage mites.

It can also be applied sparingly to the mane and tail to leave the hair silky and tangle-free, and to the coat for a glossy shine.

The essential oils contain naturally occurring allergens, so while a reaction is unlikely we recommend patch testing before first use.

For waterproofing: apply liberally to skin and feathers, either using the cone-shaped nozzle provided or a trigger spray can be purchsed separatley if spraying is preferable.

For glossing: apply sparingly where required.
